Hello August!

I hope all of you have had a wonderful summer season so far!

There have been a few changes here at the clinic. The 1st is that I found some hot stones that are ceramic, not basalt stones. Basalt stones are naturally porous, and not easily disinfectable; where ceramic is easily disinfected. These stones are heated with a heating pad, making it much quieter for me to change them out instead of going into a water bath like traditional stones.

I want to thank everyone who has allowed me to practice on them! It has helped me immensely! If you would like to be a "practice body" I have a few more openings for the month.

Once September comes there will be an add-on price of $20 to any table massage... Unless you are a member. This will be complimentary to my members' treatments. (Currently unavailable for Thai-style messages) If you have questions or need help signing up to be a member, please reach out and I will happily answer your questions.

Another addition is a treatment called Ecofin. This is similar to paraffin in that it provides a deep moisturizing treatment to the hands and/or feet.

Where the two differentiate is that paraffin is made from petroleum products, and Ecofin is made with shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E, soy oil, palm kernel oil, and natural and organic aromas. For a hand or foot treatment, it will be $12, and if you would like to add both to your massage it will be a $20 add-on service. Currently, I have vanilla, peppermint, tropical, and a grapefruit/raspberry blend. I again thank those of you who allowed me to practice with you and all of your insightful feedback.

I was able to take a muscle-specific deep tissue class in June with an instructor I have been not so patiently waiting to take a class from. Brian Utting has been teaching for longer than I have been licensed, and it was an absolute honor to be in this uplifting class. If you notice new techniques on the legs, glutes, hands, and forearms, this is where they came from.

And lastly, I will be on vacation at the end of the month. I know! Shocker!!! My girlfriends and I will be in Spokane the last week of the month playing at one of their families' lake houses. So, unless you want to wait to see me until September, get those appointments booked!:)
