August's Latest Update
“In these murky, muddy times,
I hope you are finding the flowers that still bloom”
Hello,
Well, with the first weekend of August 2020 behind us, I hope that it finds each of you doing well and staying healthy. I just wanted to pop into your inbox for a quick update.
I have yet to resume practicing for multiple reasons. One is that most of us are in the prime age group where this bugger of a bug can wreak havoc on our bodies... not that any age group is immune, but some of us have a few more candles on our cake than others in this group.
With that said, we also have a high percentage of us having multiple other health issues that can cause us to be more susceptible to falling more seriously ill. Including diabetes, asthma, and pre-existing clotting issues. to name a few.
Combine all this with the fact that we have hundreds of new cases per week in Pierce County alone, I am having a hard time justifying putting any of us at the risk of reopening might put any of us in.
My landlord and I have also been trying to figure out how to best keep all of us safe in the common areas of the building. While it is true that you can use the restroom at home before your appointment, and we can use the doors that allow you to directly enter my room; we all have had the experience of needing to use the restroom either during, or just after a massage. Guaranteeing it has been disinfected after the last person used it before you or I need to use it is still being worked out.
I thank each one of you for your continued support and concern for the welfare of my family and my business. You continue to humble, inspire, and motivate me to keep continue to grow and evolve this small business dream of mine. (More on the evolve part in the next email).
Hoping to reconnect in person soon. Until then, please continue to stay healthy and well.
Your friend in health,
Teri
